The guest performing artist series accomplishes this via a variety of masterclasses, workshops, artist discussions, and the Edge (Educating the Next Generation Through the Arts) program.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"divider\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/rcnjrd\/images\/icons\/ramapo-arch-icom_rule.png\" alt=\"Ramapo\" \/><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Educating the Next Generation Through the Arts<\/h3>\n<p>This program supports in-depth residencies, hands-on learning, increased cultural awareness, and pathways to higher education. The outreach entails 5-6 programs annually for each school including live performance assemblies, masterclasses, customized artist workshops, and campus visits for extended learning. The expected outcomes for both schools are a likelihood of higher education for student participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><div id=\"jig1\" class=\"justified-image-grid jig-5f672a11eafd67bc0cf84d5b8c1c1725 jig-preset-1 jig-source-wp-gallery\"><div class=\"jig-clearfix\"><\/div><noscript id=\"jig1-html\" class=\"justified-image-grid-html\" data-lazy-src=\"skiplazyload\" data-src=\"skipunveillazyload\"><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2025\/06\/IMG_0319-1024x768.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2025\/06\/IMG_0319-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Passaic Prep Tour of Sharp Theater\" width=\"306\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a><p class=\"jig-HTMLdescription\">Passaic Prep Tour of Sharp Theater<\/p><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2025\/06\/IMG_0039-1024x768.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2025\/06\/IMG_0039-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Sundog Theater, Ellis Island: Gateway to a Dream\" width=\"306\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a><p class=\"jig-HTMLdescription\">Sundog Theater, Ellis Island: Gateway to a Dream<\/p><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2025\/06\/IMG_3453-1024x768.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2025\/06\/IMG_3453-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Kalanidhi Dance at PS28\" width=\"306\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a><p class=\"jig-HTMLdescription\">Kalanidhi Dance at PS28<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/noscript><\/div><\/p>\n<h4><strong>P.S. 28 Partnership<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In spring 2020, Arch Performances began a relationship with <a href=\"https:\/\/ps28-pps-nj.schoolloop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">P.S. 28 in Paterson, NJ<\/a>, a PreK-8 serving Blue-Ribbon public school with a total enrollment of approximately 430 children.\u00a0 This opportunity came about through an already standing relationship between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/majors-minors\/majors\/teacher-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ramapo College of NJ\u2019s Teacher Education Department<\/a> and P.S. 28 to prepare college students for teaching in the nuances of an urban environment.<\/p>\n<p>The goals of this program are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0create direct encounters between each student at P.S. 28 and a guest performing artist<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0present a diverse group of artistic disciplines that support the learning goals of the art curriculum at P.S. 28<\/li>\n<li>provide opportunities for the P.S. 28 students to engage with artists from different cultural backgrounds exploring content from life experiences unlike their own<\/li>\n<li>expose P.S. 28 students to the opportunities provided by an education in the arts and explore how those can lead to careers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Passaic Preparatory Academy Partnership<\/h4>\n<p>In winter 2023, Arch Performances began a relationship with <a href=\"https:\/\/passaicschools.org\/prep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Passaic Public Academy<\/a>, a grades 6-12 school offering pathways of study that include Humanities\/Liberal Arts, Dramatic Arts, Visual Arts, and Musical Arts.<\/p>\n<p>The goals of this program are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>provide opportunities for students to explore trending and future careers<\/li>\n<li>help students discover their interests and talents \/ identify personal and social strengths<\/li>\n<li>bridge the divide between high school and college \/ career programs which leave too many students behind in our most underserved and diverse communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The Art of Being a Neighbor<\/h3>\n<p>In the spring of 2024, Arch Performances began conversations with a local women\u2019s shelter about forming a partnership to aid their mothers and children. The outreach for this shelter includes providing an opportunity for the women and children to attend performances at no cost.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><div id=\"jig2\" class=\"justified-image-grid jig-ea7994043c37146f5168bab2b7eddd54 jig-preset-global jig-source-wp-gallery\"><div class=\"jig-clearfix\"><\/div><noscript id=\"jig2-html\" class=\"justified-image-grid-html\" data-lazy-src=\"skiplazyload\" data-src=\"skipunveillazyload\"><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2024\/06\/several-sources-1024x456.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/berriecenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/152\/2024\/06\/several-sources-1024x456.jpg\" alt=\"several sources\" width=\"516\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a><p class=\"jig-HTMLdescription\">several sources<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/noscript><\/div><\/p>\n<h4>Several Sources<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.severalsources.org\/\">Several Sources<\/a> founded in 1981, is a non-profit serving young and expectant mothers with shelter services.
