Cybersecurity majors are eligible for 4+1 in Data Science and Computer Science. In addition, Bioinformatics majors are eligible to enroll in the 4+1 program for Data Science. Once enrolled (see below), you will have a secondary academic advisor assigned to help you select the best courses to prepare yourself for your senior year. You will receive priority registration for the three graduate courses you will enroll in during your senior year. This is achieved by taking some graduate coursework while still enrolled as an undergraduate student.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>What courses do I need to take?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Five Year plans are available alongside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/mygraduationplan\/\">Four Year Plans<\/a>. Five Year plans and guidelines are also at the bottom of this page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>What are the benefits to enrolling in the 4+1 program?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Earning a masters gives you greater opportunities for higher salaries and higher level positions.<\/li>\n<li>Shorter timeline to Master\u2019s: 1 year after undergraduate rather than 2 years.<\/li>\n<li>Cost savings of about $11,000 or 30% of total Master\u2019s degree, because 3 graduate courses are taken and billed at the undergraduate rate.<\/li>\n<li>Double count up to three courses towards both your Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Graduate courses are in the evening, which is ideal for working professionals. CMPS 530 will also count towards one of the seven Computer Science electives required.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>After graduating with your BS, you will fulfill the remaining requirements of the MSDS program.<\/p>\n<h4>MS in Applied Mathematics<\/h4>\n<p>Data Science and Mathematics majors are eligible for entry into the MSAM program without any additional undergraduate coursework.
