Alpha<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stgenhonors.org\/\">Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha)<\/a> is a national honor society for first-generation college students that supports and recognizes their academic achievements.<\/p>\n<div class=\"accordions\">\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> Undergraduate Student Eligibility Requirements<\/p><div>\n<p>Undergraduate students qualify for induction into Tri-Alpha if they meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify as a first-generation college student, which is defined at Ramapo College of New Jersey as a student where neither parent(s) nor legal guardian(s) have completed a bachelor\u2019s degree in the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Completed 1 semester at Ramapo.<\/li>\n<li>Earned at least 30 credit\/semester hours towards a baccalaureate degree.<\/li>\n<li>Achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2\/4.0 scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> Graduate Student Eligibility Requirements<\/p><div>\n<p>Graduate students qualify for induction into Tri-Alpha if they meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify as a first-generation college student, which is defined at Ramapo College of New Jersey as a student where neither parent(s) nor legal guardian(s) have completed a bachelor\u2019s degree in the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>Completed 1 full-time term of study (normally 9 graduate credits) at Ramapo.<\/li>\n<li>Maintained an overall GPA in graduate courses of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"item\"><p class=\"question\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-plus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-minus fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span> Benefits<\/p><div>\n<p>Benefits include&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Obtaining lifetime membership, certificate, and pin.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Receiving recognition of personal accomplishment and an incentive for continued high scholarship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Meeting other first-generation scholars and build a community across academic schools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Building a better resume for jobs, internships, co-ops, and graduate\/professional schools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Partaking in mentorship and networking opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Participating in leadership development.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Engaging in honor society programming. and service opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>The
