{"id":36,"date":"2013-11-01T14:22:32","date_gmt":"2013-11-01T18:22:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/inter-students\/?page_id=36"},"modified":"2021-02-02T08:40:43","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T13:40:43","slug":"iso","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/inter-students\/iso\/","title":{"rendered":"International Student Organization"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Supporting one of the College\u2019s four pillars of intercultural understanding, the International Student Organization (ISO)\u00a0seeks students of all nationalities to create a meaningful intercultural experience at Ramapo. \u00a0They meet regularly to plan activities and events for both members of the club and the entire Ramapo community.\u00a0 The club sponsors a variety of activities, such as international dinner nights, films, and lectures, as well as off-campus trips to various national landmarks and other places of cultural interest.\u00a0Each year they host International Student Week, which consists of workshops and symposia. A campus-wide luncheon, The International Food Festival, features international cuisine and entertainment and has become one of the most popular events held at Ramapo. The club also participates in community service activities throughout the school year.<\/p>\n<h3>Mission Statement:<\/h3>\n<p>The International Student Organization (ISO) is a social organization that bridges the divide between international and U.S. students. This organization is based on different cultures and perspectives that allow individuals to enhance their knowledge on cultures around the world. ISO prides itself on diversity, mutual respect and tolerance of race, culture, religion, and sexual orientation.
