{"id":512,"date":"2023-12-01T09:55:50","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T14:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/nursing\/?page_id=512"},"modified":"2026-03-17T11:00:43","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T15:00:43","slug":"application-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/nursing\/accelerated-bsn\/application-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Application Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Requirements for the ABSN 16-Month Track<\/h3>\n<p>The 16-month program is designed to be completed in four full-time in-person consecutive semesters starting in the summer.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for admission to Ramapo&#8217;s ABSN 16-month nursing program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a non-nursing bachelor\u2019s degree <strong>or<\/strong> have a minimum of 60 credits from a regionally accredited institution.\n<ul>\n<li>Current and former Ramapo College students who have not completed a non-Nursing bachelor\u2019s or associate\u2019s degree at Ramapo College or another institution are not eligible for the Accelerated BSN program at this time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA in all undergraduate coursework.<\/li>\n<li>Score &#8220;Proficient&#8221; on the ATI TEAS exam.<\/li>\n<li>Completed the following prerequisite coursework with a first time grade of C+ or higher.\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><\/li>\n<li>Anatomy and Physiology I with lecture and lab<\/li>\n<li>Anatomy and Physiology II with lecture and lab<\/li>\n<li>Microbiology with lecture and lab<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">General Chemistry I <\/span><b>and<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> II lecture and lab, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Organic Chemistry lecture and lab, <\/span><b>or<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Principles of Chemistry lecture and lab<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Statistics<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to Psychology or Developmental Psychology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>We do not accept any repeated science courses.<\/li>\n<li>All prerequisite science courses must have been completed within the last 5 years.<\/li>\n<li>Only in-person lectures and in person labs are accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The application for Summer \/ Fall 2026 start is closed.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"divider\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/rcnjrd\/images\/icons\/ramapo-arch-icom_rule.png\" alt=\"Ramapo\" \/><\/div>\n<h3>Requirements for the &#8220;Bridge to ABSN&#8221; 24-Month Track<\/h3>\n<p>This program is for prospective students who meet the admissions requirements, but have <strong>not<\/strong> completed all of the prerequisite courses.<\/p>\n<p>Prerequisites must be completed between Summer\/Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 for eligibility to start the 16-month ABSN program in Summer 2027.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for admission to Ramapo\u2019s &#8220;Bridge to ABSN&#8221;
