<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>When is the next available start term?\u2028<\/div>
\n

For qualified ABSN 16 month track students – Summer 2026 (end of May) for 16-month accelerated cohort for those admitted and qualified with completion of all prerequisites.<\/p>\n

For qualified Bridge to ABSN 24 month track students – Prerequisites courses may be completed starting in Fall 2026 into Spring 2027. Upon completion of prerequisite courses, these students may be eligible to start in the Summer 2027 ABSN cohort.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>What is the required GPA?<\/div>
\n

The GPA requirement is 3.0 or above for both ABSN and Bridge to ABSN.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do I have to take an entrance exam?<\/div>
\n

Yes, for the ABSN 16 month track, the ATI TEAS Version 7 exam must be completed with a score proficient prior to enrollment. This exam can be taken In-Person or online through ATI.<\/p>\n

For Bridge to ABSN 24 month track, students must sit for the ATI TEAS Version 7 exam and score proficient during prerequisite course completion and prior to enrollment in ABSN 16 month track that following summer. The TEAS exam is NOT required as part of the 24 month track application requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do I need to have all prerequisites completed with a C+ or higher before applying?\u2028<\/div>
\n

Yes, to be eligible for the 16-month accelerated program a grade of C+ or above in all prerequisite science courses is a required. Repeated courses will not be considered.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>If I am accepted and enroll in the Bridge to ABSN 24 month track and need prerequisites, can I repeat prerequisite courses in which I received lower than a C+?\u2028<\/div>
\n

No, the Bridge to ABSN-24 month track requires all students to receive a grade of at least a C+ or better for all prerequisites. Failure to receive a grade of a C+ will result in a dismissal from the program. You may complete a different major at Ramapo College if desired. Additionally, any science prerequisites completed prior to the bridge program with grades lower than a C+ will render a student ineligible.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do you accept repeated courses?<\/div>
\n

We do not accept repeated courses in the science prerequisites.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>I am a current or former Ramapo student. Can I change my major to this program?<\/div>
\n

No, the ABSN program does not accept internal transfers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Current and former Ramapo College students who have not completed a non-Nursing Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree at either Ramapo College or elsewhere are not eligible for the Accelerated BSN Program at this time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>I was once a part of the Ramapo generic nursing program but did not complete my BSN degree. Am I eligible for this program?<\/div>
\n

No. Students who were once part of the Ramapo generic nursing program are not eligible for the ABSN program. These students will need to speak with the Assistant Dean in charge of Nursing about the possibility of being readmitted into the generic nursing program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Can I work during the program?<\/div>
\n

For the 16-month full-time program, students are advised not to work a full-time job as courses are rigorous and only offered in-person and during the day.<\/p>\n

For the 24-month bridge program, students may work if desired during the fall and spring semester of the program since the prerequisite courses will be offered in a part-time format with evening and Saturday options available. Upon completion of the prerequisites and entry to the accelerated portion of the program the following summer, students are advised not to work as courses are rigorous and only offered in-person and during the day.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Is financial aid available?\u2028<\/div>
\n

Financial aid is available through the FAFSA and students are encouraged to speak with the Office of Financial Aid for assistance.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>If I am not accepted to the accelerated BSN program, how can I become a Nurse and\/or attend Ramapo to attain the BSN degree?<\/div>

Please research our community college articulation partnerships and AAS programs in the region. After enrolling and completing one of these RN programs, you may apply to our RN to BSN program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>I have a master\u2019s degree or higher in another field. Am I waived out of any nursing courses or from the ATI TEAS exam?<\/div>
\n

No, you are not waived from any nursing courses or from taking the ATI TEAS exam.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>I was in a different nursing program at one time but failed out or withdrew. Should I apply? <\/div>
\n

You may apply, but courses may need to be repeated.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do you accept nursing courses from international and\/or other US accredited institutions towards this program?<\/div>
\n

No, we do not accept international nursing courses or nursing courses from other U.S. accredited institutions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
