The organization\u2019s purpose is to support members as they work to better themselves socially, academically and spiritually. Weekly meetings are held to discuss business and plan multiple events that promote African ancestry and provide opportunities to socialize. In addition, the members of Ebony Women for Social Change will strive to empower all women to stand up\u00a0for their rights and speak up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brothers Making a Difference (BMAD):<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>President: Charbel Maroun,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cmaroun@ramapo.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cmaroun@ramapo.edu<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our programs\u00a0are geared towards making social and educational change to the Ramapo. Be mindful that our organization is not limited to men or people of color. Everyone no matter what background are welcome to encourage and support while we strive to make a difference!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organization of Latino Unity (OLU)<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>President: Chantalle Reyes\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:creyes8@ramapo.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">creyes8@ramapo.edu<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>OLU was created to unite students of diverse Latino heritages. This organization allows Latinos to come together and celebrate their similarities. OLU also serves as the political voice for Latino student issues and as a support system for students by creating an environment where they can work together to bring the Latino experience to Ramapo. Members seek to provide everyone on campus with an opportunity to learn about the Latino culture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students of Caribbean Ancestry (SOCA):<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>President: Jestina Brown,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jbrown28@ramapo.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jbrown28@ramapo.edu<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>S.O.C.A&#8217;s purpose is to promote a better understanding of Caribbean people, culture, history, and politics to the entire student body via weekly meetings and program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>African Federation for Representation and Opportunity (AFRO):<br \/>\nPresident: Queenie Bonsu,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:qbonsu@ramapo.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">qbonsu@ramapo.edu<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AFRO (African Federation of Representation and Opportunity)\u00a0is a student-led organization dedicated to representing and uplifting African voices and the African diaspora on campus.
