搁补尘补辫辞鈥檚 Comprehensive Academic Plan, guided by the Boldly Ascending Strategic Plan, involves a refinement of our academic structure and curriculum and leadership. It鈥檚 all about keeping learning fresh, supporting your goals, and making sure what you study today prepares you for tomorrow. As we put the plan into action, you鈥檒l begin to see some exciting changes.
Effective July 1, 2026, Ramapo will be moving to four schools designed to support all students in their academic journey:
The Comprehensive Academic Plan is 搁补尘补辫辞鈥檚 roadmap to improve academics, leadership, and the student experience.听
Yes, all previously taken courses will still count toward the total 128 credits required to graduate.听
Courses taken to complete the SSHS School Core, HGS School Core, and CA School Core may also count for the General Education category or as free electives.听
Courses taken to complete the ASB School Core will still count toward the ASB required courses.

You must select two of the three categories to fulfill this requirement. Note that with the changes taking effect Fall 2026, the 鈥渙ut of school requirement鈥 is no longer being enforced in the College鈥檚 degree audit tools.听 You are encouraged to take courses from a variety of disciplines.

As of March 2026, all continuing students will use DegreeWorks as their degree audit tool. Review the steps to learn how to run a degree audit.听
Students graduating in May 2026 or August 2026 will use U.Achieve.听

As part of the 搁补尘补辫辞鈥檚 Comprehensive Academic Plan (CAP), the College is transitioning to a four鈥憇chool structure beginning with the 2026鈥2027 academic year. As a result, portions of historical catalogs鈥攑articularly those referencing previous school-based requirements such as School Cores or General Education 鈥淥ut of School鈥 distributions鈥攎ay no longer reflect the current academic organization or requirements. Students should consult their Degree Audit and the CAP Student Resources page for more information. Questions can be directed to degreeaudit@ramapo.edu.

No, the School Core requirements are no longer part of your graduation requirement. However, if you want to retake the class to raise your GPA, you still have the opportunity to do so and submit a grade replacement request. Students have four times total in their undergraduate academic career when they can request a grade replacement.
Career Pathways modules completed for your current school will be applied to your degree requirements. All students are still required to complete three Career Pathways modules to graduate.听
Yes, students planning to graduate in the Spring or Summer 2026 must complete the requirements outlined on their Degree Audit including School Cores. Changes for current students take effect Fall 2026. If you have been advised differently, follow up with your advisor for clarification.听

Yes, if your position is transitioning to a new school, you will be reporting to a different Dean.
Neither your benefits nor your paycheck will change as a result of this transition.
