{"id":1721,"date":"2020-03-13T12:45:47","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T16:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/registrar\/?page_id=1721"},"modified":"2025-01-14T12:00:44","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T17:00:44","slug":"certificate-to-credit","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/registrar\/certificate-to-credit\/","title":{"rendered":"Certificate to Credit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>CERTIFICATION CREDIT EVALUATION (CCE)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Matriculated undergraduate students at Ramapo are eligible to apply for a Certification Credit Evaluation.\u00a0 Common types of certifications evaluated include but are not limited to:\u00a0 American Red Cross First Aid and CPR, New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and New Jersey Municipal Police Basic Course for Police Officers (2000-2015 only).\u00a0\u00a0 These credits are awarded as the equivalent of currently offered Ramapo courses provided that the course content and learning outcomes align and that the number of hours of instruction are determined to be adequate.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that all certifications must be current in order to be evaluated for credit.\u00a0 Credits awarded through this process are considered transfer credits and are subject to all transfer credit policies and restrictions: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/policy\/transferring-academic-credit\/\">https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/policy\/transferring-academic-credit\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Interested students must submit the following to the Office of Admissions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A notarized copy of the certification<\/li>\n<li>A Certification Credit Evaluation (CCE) Request Form (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/registrar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/03\/CCE-Request-Form-022020-1.docx\">DOC<\/a>) (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/registrar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2020\/03\/CCE-Request-Form-022020.pdf\">PDF<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>New students<\/strong> should submit all documentation to the Admissions Office at the time of application.\u00a0 <strong>Continuing students<\/strong> should refer to Ramapo\u2019s transfer credit and residency policies as part of their planning: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/policy\/undergraduate-residency-requirement\/\">https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/policy\/undergraduate-residency-requirement\/<\/a>.\u00a0 If a student has already reached the maximum amount of transfer credit allowed, no additional credits will be awarded for certifications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please make sure of the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your credential is notarized.<\/li>\n<li>You submit your paperwork by mail or in person to Ramapo\u2019s Office of Admissions.
