The Rosanne DeMicco Memorial Scholarship was created by Elizabeth and Ralph Mastrangelo in memory of Mr. Mastrangelo’s sister, Rosanne DeMicco.

Rosanne was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Howard Beach, Queens with her parents and siblings. She graduated from Queens College with a degree in elementary education and earned a master鈥檚 degree in education as well as numerous certifications. She was a schoolteacher in the Pleasantville, N.Y. school district.

This endowed scholarship will benefit students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Special Education program. 鈥淩osanne was a beloved teacher and focused on helping children with special needs. This award will help honor her memory and recognize her devotion to young students,鈥� said Mr. Mastrangelo.

Mr. Mastrangelo and his wife have been ardent supporters of the College for many years, and were Co-Chairs of the Learning Commons Capital Campaign. Mr. Mastrangelo served as Chairman of the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors.
