In 2003, brothers Pritam Singh Grewal and Amarjit Singh Grewal created this scholarship in memory of their parents and to honor their belief in personal excellence. Pritam is president of ADPP Enterprises, which owns and operates gas stations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The company has grown from an entrepreneurial start-up to one of the best-run gas retailers in the country.

This principle has been the cornerstone of ADPP Enterprises鈥� way of doing business. I also understand the hardships of being a student, especially for students who are striving to excel in their studies despite being saddled with the burden of arranging the finances required to pursue their studies.鈥�

The purpose of the award is to recognize the business success the brothers have achieved thanks to values instilled by their parents and to recognize a student with 鈥渁 consistently high level of academic performance.鈥�
