Prestin Walter Moore was tragically taken from his family in an automobile accident on his way to visit family in Mahwah for Thanksgiving, 2015. Prestin was just 12 years-old and had a heart of gold. Prestin鈥檚 aunt, a Ramapo College staff member, along with family and friends decided to establish this scholarship as a permanent legacy to Prestin.

Prestin was a very kind boy who loved all sports. He also loved to play video games and be with his family. Prestin was a very compassionate child with an old soul. He especially loved his dog, Mika, and his nephew Adrian. Prestin taught Mika to play football and other tricks, while at the same time being the light of Adrian鈥檚 eyes.

His Aunt Ivy states, 鈥淧restin was a remarkable young boy and I鈥檓 not saying that because he is my nephew; I鈥檓 saying it because it鈥檚 a fact. I鈥檓 extremely lucky and honored to have had Prestin as my nephew and my Godson.鈥�

This scholarship will provide an opportunity for a student in need, who has overcome difficult circumstances in order to pursue their degree.
