In recognition of the long lasting and profound impact a community college can have on individuals, Professor Franschman and her husband, Milton Irizarry, are proud to offer a scholarship for a Ramapo social work student who transferred from Bergen Community College. In addition, Professor Franschman, having completely paid for her own education, and Milton Irizarry, a son of a single immigrant mom with three children, both understand how important it is to support college students financially in need.

The Professor Franschman and Milton Irizarry Social Work Scholarship will recognize social work students at Ramapo College who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 3.25 GPA.
