{"id":90,"date":"2013-04-17T16:01:40","date_gmt":"2013-04-17T20:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/caafye\/?page_id=90"},"modified":"2025-07-15T12:47:03","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T16:47:03","slug":"off-campus-study-request","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/studentsuccess\/off-campus-study-request\/","title":{"rendered":"Off-Campus Study Request Form"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Request for Off-Campus Study Request form is to be completed by any student wishing to take a course(s) at another institution or wishing to complete the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) examination for college credit. Please review the following policies in regard to Off-Campus Study:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approval for any off-campus study must be obtained PRIOR to enrolling in the course (or in case of CLEP, scheduling the exam). Courses taken off-campus without prior approval are not guaranteed to transfer even if a grade of C or better is earned.<\/li>\n<li>Once a student obtains 96 credits, they are no longer eligible to take any courses off campus. The last 32 credits towards a degree MUST be completed at Ramapo.<\/li>\n<li>If the course is hosted at an international institution, the student must contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/international\/studyabroad\/\">Roukema Center for International Education<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum number of credits a student can transfer in is 65 from a 2-year institution (or CLEP) and 96 from a 4-year institution.<\/li>\n<li>The student must obtain a C or better in the course(s) for Ramapo to accept the credits.\u00a0 Non-Ramapo College courses are not included in a student\u2019s overall grade point average; the credits will transfer to the student\u2019s record, but the GPA will not be impacted by off-campus study.<\/li>\n<li>Once the student completes the course(s), they must send an official transcript to the Ramapo Registrar&#8217;s office.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/policy\/transferring-academic-credit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">View the full policy here <\/a><span style=\"color: #2f2f2f\">(scroll to the procedure section to #3 Off-Campus Study).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please fill out the request form below and ATTACH to an EMAIL to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:success@ramapo.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-behavior=\"truncate\">success@ramapo.edu<\/a> when complete:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/studentsuccess\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2024\/09\/Off-Campus-Study-8.2024.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Off-Campus Study Request Form<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Request for Off-Campus Study Request form is to be completed by any student wishing to take a course(s) at another institution or wishing to complete the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) examination for college credit.
