{"id":1774,"date":"2019-07-24T09:38:35","date_gmt":"2019-07-24T13:38:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/testing\/?page_id=1774"},"modified":"2019-07-24T09:41:18","modified_gmt":"2019-07-24T13:41:18","slug":"reading-essay-retest-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/testing\/reading-essay-retest-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Reading\/Essay: Retest Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Accuplacer: Reading\/Essay Retest Information<\/h3>\n<div class=\"divider\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/rcnjrd\/images\/icons\/ramapo-arch-icom_rule.png\" alt=\"Ramapo\" \/><\/div>\n<h4>Placement Re-Test Policy<\/h4>\n<p>Placement Test Scores (ACCUPLACER Online) will be valid for a period of 2 years from the initial testing date. \u00a0 Students who take ACCUPLACER at Ramapo College and score <strong>within retesting range<\/strong>\u00a0will be allowed <strong>only 1 re-test opportunity per test section<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Test scores that fall within the following ranges are eligible for the re-test option:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WritePlacer (Essay) 1-6<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"divider\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/rcnjrd\/images\/icons\/ramapo-arch-icom_rule.png\" alt=\"Ramapo\" \/><\/div>\n<h4><strong>Re-test Fees (payment is due at the time of testing):<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>$10 for each multiple-choice test section.Students may not re-test on the same day as initial testing. There is a <strong>wait time of 10 days<\/strong> between initial test and retest.<br \/>\nAfter re-testing, the score that will be valid will be the<strong> higher of the two scores<\/strong>.\u00a0 Once students begin their developmental course work the re-test option is no longer available.<\/p>\n<p>Students may register for a re-test appointment by using the online test registration form located on the Ramapo College website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/\">www.ramapo.edu<\/a>.
