<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Center for Reading & Writing Satellite Sessions<\/div>
\n

At the Women\u2019s Center & LGBTQ+ Services (C-220), the Center for Reading and Writing<\/a> (CRW) offers one-to-one satellite consultation sessions in reading and writing to students on all academic levels. Sessions are available weekly on Tuesdays from 1 pm – 3 pm. To make an appointment, click the button below. Select a consultant in the Women\u2019s Center and indicate the date and time within the available hours. You will then receive a confirmation email with your appointment details. <\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Safe Zone Training<\/div>
\n

The purpose of Safe Zone Training is to reduce homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, heterosexism, and heteronormativity on the Ramapo College campus through LGBTQ+ inclusive education with the goal of making our campus a safer environment for all members of our community, especially people of marginalized sexualities and genders. Safe Zone Training prepares Ramapo’s faculty, staff, and students to serve as resources on LGBTQ+ issues and representatives of the Safe Zone program.<\/p>\n

Throughout the year, the Women’s Center & LGBTQ+ Services organizes educational and social events to enrich the student college experience. Signature events include observations of Queer & Trans History Month, Trans Days of Remembrance and Self-Care, World AIDS Day, Women’s Herstory Month, and Pride Month. In the fall, we host Pride Fest and, in the spring, we present The Vagina Monologues and hold our Lavender Ceremony for graduating LGBTQ+ students. We also offer Zine Nights and a Feminist Book Club. Our event flyers are posted around campus and on Instagram. Events are also listed on Archway.<\/p>\n

Gender Based Violence<\/h4>\n
<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Violence Prevention<\/div>

The Ramapo College Office of Violence Prevention (OVP), through educating and sharing resources<\/a>, promotes awareness of the realities of dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of interpersonal violence. OVP programs provide evidence-based literacy and training through innovative prevention strategies in an effort to create a community that fosters a culture of respect, affirmative consent and encourages bystander intervention.<\/p>\n
